If I ever enjoy making lace, remind me of this post.

So I'm making the Adara's Shawl for my Mother for Mother's Day. When it said "beginner, I figured it would be a breeze. But then I realized it means "beginner's lace". Big difference. So for, lace blows. It sucks. It both blows and sucks and I didn't think that was physically possible. It's just all the counting and mistakes and pulling out the row, counting the row beneath it to make sure that was right to begin with and oh fuck I am starting to hate lace. It should look pretty when I finish it, which will probably be nowhere around Mother's day. Maybe for her birthday in August.

Blessed be.
I know I have been away for a very long time. I am trying to manage my time better so that I can keep my blog up-to-date better.

Yeah, crocheting (or knitting) lace can be very difficult. I had started on a pretty crocheted lace table cloth about 6 months ago, got about 8 rows completed, and still have not finished it to this day. Seems like each time I even look at it I get a headache.

Anyway, good luck and have a great weekend.

I love it! I've heard that using a lifeline helps so if you have to tink back, you only have to unravel to that row and not worry about going too far.

Are you using that yarn or stashbusting?
