My favorite pic from Disney

She lost her front tooth on the bus going from the airport going to Disney World. Just to make the trip extra cute. I'll post more pics from the trip soon.

I'm so excited. I'm going on a real vacation. The first one since I went to China to adopt Q. I'm going to Disney World for 4 days with Q and my parents. At first I wasn't going to invite them. Then I thought about how much it would mean to them and to Q to be all together on a special vacation. So I officially have all my clothes(I'm a size 14-16 pants now.) I figured why spend all that money for t-shirts there so I went to the Disney outlet in my area and got 4 Micky Mouse shirts for me for $5, and Q got shirts for $3. Of course she told me she is too old for Micky and Minnie so she got HSM and Camp Rock shirts. Hey, at least she is happy. I have to try on my old swim suit. Jeeze, how could I forget that. When would have time to buy a new one? I got Q a cute hot pink and lime green Cheeta print bikini. It's so cute I have to to get tons of pics of that. Anyway, it's late and I have to quit obsessing on details and try to get back to sleep.

Pleasing Seasoning

I use this every day. Use as many variations as you like. One day I just decided that instead of having all these different seasonings around that I use all the time, just mix them all together in the right proportions and it makes life easier. So here is my combo-
1 bottle Mrs Dash Original
1 bottle Mrs Dash Garlic and Herb (which is basically Italian Seasoning)
1 bottle garlic salt
1 bottle onion powder
Mix all together and put in one of the shaker bottle. Put the rest in a plastic container for spooning out.

Pagan Vegan Chocolate Icing

I just sort of made up this recipe when I needed some chocolate icing, so I don't know how it holds up to other recipes. It makes sort of a semi-sweet icing rather than a super sweet icing. It's Pagan because there are 3 ingredients, and the ingredients all have a 3 in there. It's vegan because it's made with soy milk, but I'm sure you can make it with regular milk also, though I have never tried.
2/3C powdered sugar
1/3C cocoa powder
3 T. Silk Very Vanilla Soy Milk
Combine all ingredients, blend until smooth. Use right away before it sets up.

I hate lace

I absolutely hate the Adara shawl pattern. It makes me feel like a beginner knitter. I've been knitting for years, yet what ever I knit, I have to pull out. I've been working on it for weeks, and I can't get past the first section. If anyone finds a nice shawl pattern that isn't too simple, and will look good with red and ivory stripes, for the love of Goddess, send it to me!

Sucks to be a pet of the relm right now.

I rarely say that, because my pets are spoiled. Whereas I buy the cheapest food I can for me and Q, I buy premium for my animal gang. But in the last month, my dog Abby got a huge abscess and was in terrible pain. The vet drained it and put her on antibiotics, then gave her a shot for the pain. The shot must have worn off during the night because she she stuck her cold wet nose in my face to wake me, then just whined for the rest of the night. All I could do was hug and pet her. After 3 weeks of antibiotics, she is pretty much back to normal. Then my new hobby, aquariums. Well, I have 2 whole fish left after an outbreak of ick. It must have come into the tank through this new fish I put in there, it was the first to die of it. All of the babies died, but one of the 2 fish I have living looks like she is pregnant. Actually I have 4 fish tonight, but 2 look like they will in the fishy after life by morning (and you thought you'd get through this post with out hearing about my tank). And last but not least, Valentine got stepped on by our 60 pound dog. Apparently he decided to do some exploring on the floor, and the dog just didn't have her super canine senses on that day. Well, lil' Valentine lost several feathers, and has a cut on each wing. Finally after about 4 days he is moving more normally. I think the man of our house will be alright.
UPDATE:
I loose "Worlds Best Mom" award tonight because I had to steal 8 quarters from Q's bank to put in her Easter basket.
Also, After several lively verses of "Bingo"last night, Q was clapping in her sleep.

So I'm making the Adara's Shawl for my Mother for Mother's Day. When it said "beginner, I figured it would be a breeze. But then I realized it means "beginner's lace". Big difference. So for, lace blows. It sucks. It both blows and sucks and I didn't think that was physically possible. It's just all the counting and mistakes and pulling out the row, counting the row beneath it to make sure that was right to begin with and oh fuck I am starting to hate lace. It should look pretty when I finish it, which will probably be nowhere around Mother's day. Maybe for her birthday in August.
